Decided to Switch Away from Cable

I have been thinking about it long enough and the other day I ran across the chance to get started with my plan right off. A friend of mine is going to be moving in with his girlfriend in her apartment. Right now he is living in this little trailer out in the country. The only great thing about it is that he can do just about anything he wants and no one cares. So we have loud parties and some times we shoot our guns in his back yard. He gave me his dish and if you click here you can see the place he showed me where I can get the satellite tv package that he has. There is another week and a half before the service runs out, so right now I am watching his NFL Sunday ticket for free and obviously he comes over here for the games along with my other buddies.

The signal is pretty good and I do not have any issues with trees and so far there have not been any clouds to cause trouble. A particular type of cloud is either very thick or it reflects the signal or scatters it or something. It happens every now and again, but it can be really bad if you have too many trees in the way or if the wind is moving trees around. I still need to do something about the internet, but I already canceled my cable tv. If the cable company wants to let me keep my cable modem I probably would, but I would expect them to charge me something a bit more reasonable to keep them around that much. In fact I am paying them about one hundred and fifty bucks a month right now and it is not like I get the extras.
